Special opening of the Wielemans Hotel!

On returning from a trip to Spain in 1925, Léon Wielemans, manager of the famous brasseries, and his wife encouraged their friend and architect Adrien Blomme to recreate the magic and sense of escape found in the patios of the Alhambra in Granada. Nearly 5,000 ceramic tiles, superb wrought-iron features and remarkable woodwork, from the patio décor to the bathroom, contribute to a sense of escapism. The house remains nonetheless characteristic of the era in which it was built: alongside the oriental-inspired elements, more modern touches evoke the comfort of grand transatlantic liners whilst blending harmoniously with the Art Deco style of the interwar period.
