Presentation

Arkadia is an association set-up by historians and historians of art, which develops numerous cultural projects to share the wealth of Belgian and Brussels heritage with an as wide as possible audience.

Primarily focussed on architectural heritage, Arkadia is also taking interest in music, literature, cinema, plastic and visual arts.

As specialists in architectural heritage and contemporary art, we make the public (re)discover the city through guided tours and conferences in several languages. We develop a "pedagogy of the look", because we are convinced that seeing and understanding one's city helps to preserve and defend it.

Our activities :

Guided tours by foot, bus and metro
     Conferences
     Educational projects
     Exceptional interior visits
     Corporate events

Our expertise :

Our team is made up of 60 guides, historians and art historians. Each guide has its specialty (epoch, artistic field...), which gives a high quality of visit. We offer tours in French, Dutch, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Hungarian.

Arkadia offers a wide selection of guided tours, under different forms:

  • You are an individual and you would like to join one of our tours. We offer you an annual programmation (almost only in French), which will make you take a new and attentive look on the city of Brussels. Go to the "individual tours" section or download the tours programme.
  •
  • You have set up a group and you wish to organize a walking, a bus or metro tour in the language of your choice. We offer you a large catalogue of lively tours. Go to the "group's tours" section.
  •
  • You are a teacher and wish to have a tailor-made tour for your class. A team, experienced in dealing with schools, offers thematic, educational and entertaining tours. Please click on the “school visits” button.
